Fair Deal for Kids will benefit from fundraising to tackle child poverty in Northamptonshire

The Northamptonshire Community Foundation and Northampton Chronicle‘s Fair Deal for Kids appeal is benefitting from £600, raised by a Novacroft team climbing event to the top of The O2 in London.

Fair Deal for Kids is Novacroft’s Charity of the Year, and the money will go towards its aim of tackling child poverty in Northamptonshire.

The group of Novacroft team members climbed to 52m above ground level on Saturday 28th September. With amazing rooftop views, they enjoyed every minute. Tina, Novacroft’s Internal Auditor and organiser of the climb, took to social media to share her excitement at completing the challenge:

It was an amazing experience. A great day with great company.

Fair Deal for Kids is a dedicated fund  for community groups and volunteer organisations within Northamptonshire that work to help the county’s 8,400 children and young people that are living in poverty. The fund aims to address these often ‘hidden’ needs by providing grants.

Northamptonshire Community Foundation said:

A huge thank you to our friends over at Novacroft for their very generous donation.

The team’s JustGiving fundraising page is still open for donations.

To further support charity beneficiaries of Fair Deal for Kids, Tracey, from Novacroft’s marketing team, will be volunteering time during October to support Home-Start Northampton with their marketing activities, while a group of Novacrofters will be donating their time to paint the Home-Start Northampton offices.

During its twenty one years in business, Novacroft has supported many local causes, raised over £30,000 and donated many hours of voluntary support.

Novacroft continues to work with charities to support their futures. The company is currently running a series of charity forum events, focusing on what life will look like for charities in 2030, and how they can ensure a thriving future. Find out more here.
