Online application solution for student travelcard delivers peace of mind and makes life easier for local parents
Novacroft, the Northampton technology leader, has provided a simple, slick and transparent online application process for the Hertfordshire county’s 11-18 year old travel passes, taking Herts SaverCard application turnaround times from 20 days to just five days.
Novacroft’s solution for Hertfordshire County Council’s SaverCard discount travel scheme has streamlined previously predominantly manual processes to make SaverCard applications quicker, slicker and with more visibility for the Hertfordshire community, with 84% of all applications now being made online, exceeding the council’s 75% target.
The project launched within just three months, in time for the start of the 2015 academic year, following Novacroft’s rapid deployment and ability to integrate with key supplier systems including contact centre software, a financial back office system and a payment gateway within Novacroft’s software application solution. The online SaverCard scheme was an immediate success – almost 9,000 SaverCards have been issued by Novacroft to date.
Novacroft’s simple, easy-to-use online application system enables parents to create a web account, make payment online, review application progress, renew and replace SaverCards, giving them a seamless, swift and secure means to apply for a travelcard for their child from their own home at 25% less cost than when applying on paper.
Matthew Lale, Passenger Transport Manager at Hertfordshire County Council, said:
