Company employing 150 people in region holds day of team celebration

Novacroft celebrates twenty years in business on 21st July 2018.

The company employs over 150 staff, and is about to take on over 100 new team members (working on projects for Transport for London and The Royal British Legion, two of Novacroft’s key clients) for the summer / autumn period.

Novacroft marks its two decades in business with a large-scale office party on Friday 20th July. All team members (who are invited to dress in orange, Novacroft’s company colour, to mark the occasion) will be treated to a day of celebration, including a tea party lunch, on site manicures, reflexology and at-desk shoulder massages, giant board games, a BATAK Pro, a bake off, and holiday day giveaways.

From its beginnings as one person, in one room, in 1998, Novacroft now occupies prestigious, state of the art offices in the heart of the Cambridge – Milton Keynes – Northampton – Oxford growth corridor – a place it values enormously due to talent it has found there and the way that talent is paving the path to an exciting future.

Novacroft has achieved significant milestones and industry firsts over the past twenty years, including the creation of the first web-based data management system in smart ticketing, the launch of Transport for London’s first smart photocard, and being the first company to being produce and issue concessionary transport cards on the same day.

An advocate of employer supported volunteering and fundraising, Novacroft has raised over £31,000 for local causes during its time in business, for charities including Workbridge and the Northampton Hope Centre. Keen to encourage team participation, each Novacroft team member benefits from 4 days paid volunteering leave every year.

Debra Charles is Novacroft’s Founder and CEO. She said:

Throughout our two decades in business, our team is privileged to have been recognised for individual, industry and community achievements. Novacroft continues to embrace the foundation pillars on which I began it in 1998 – that is, pillars of technology and people. The team spirit at Novacroft is second to none. I couldn’t be prouder of our achievements. There’s a huge willingness to make a difference, to our clients and the local community. That’s what inspires and drives me every day.

Novacroft has plans to continue making life easier by simplifying complexity for clients and communities as the company journeys beyond its twentieth anniversary year, with an immediate focus is on helping charities reduce administration costs, enabling them to direct more pence in every £1 to the cause they are fighting for.
