Debra Charles, Novacroft Founder & CEO, is committed to inspiring thoughtful action

Debra Charles, Founder & CEO of Novacroft, is officially listed as a speaker for International Women’s Day (IWD) 2020.

Taking place on 8th March 2020, IWD is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality and has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group or organisation specific.

An equal world is an enabled world

Debra is a dyslexic entrepreneur, futurologist, public speaker and policy influencer passionate to promote and inspire a thriving future.

The theme of International Women’s Day 2020 is #EachforEqual, based around the belief that an equal world is an enabled world and that equality is not a women’s issue, it’s a business issue. Gender equality is essential for economies and communities to thrive. A gender equal world can be healthier, wealthier and more harmonious.

Leading with kindness

Debra believes that central to a thriving future is the vital role of leading with kindness in the fast-approaching Fourth Industrial Revolution, where, more than ever, being kind will shine as the unique quality that differentiates people from the AI and robots. She is co-founder and chair of The Kindness Movement, and founder of the #CharityForum.

Debra has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Cranfield University for her work in shaping UK business and has spoken at the House of Lords to launch the development of a Leading with Kindness leadership model.

Debra is proud to be supporting International Women’s Day 2020. If you’d like Debra to get involved with an event you’re organising this IWD, please get in touch.
